The River Park in Christoval also known as Pugh Park
is located on Ranch Road 2084 (Toenail Trail) across
from the High School. Situated at the SE edge of the
community of Christoval, the park is operated by Tom
Green County.
While some parts of the
park are currently under
construction and therefore has limited access,
there
are many free campsites available on a "first come,
first served" basis.
Visitors are encouraged to
bring their own inner tubes,
kayaks and water sports equipment for a nice day at
the park. Some Porta-potties are available.
No glass is allowed,
violators may be fined by the
sheriff's department. Visitors are
responsible for
picking up and depositing their trash. Tom Green
County Sheriff's deputies visit the park often to
enforce compliance.
The community and the
county welcomes all visitors to
our main street and parks. Our River Park
is evolving to
become a family friendly venue for a great day on our
Gem
of the Concho River.
Several BnBs are available for extended stays.
Come
visit us....you'll be
pleasantly surprised!
